The Rule of one particular Man by BonusExperiment The Rule of one particular Man by BonusExperiment
I've decided to make a piece in which a gigantic Spaceship capable of Intergalactic Travel is traveling back to it's home galaxy, the Andromeda Galaxy. I tried to experiment around
with Cinema 4D because I wanted a detailed model of my spaceship put into this piece but the results were awful and so I ended up with only the galaxy. I think I need to practice a bit on Cinema 4D, as I am planning to put some 3D graphics into my future works.

The Galaxy is entirely painted by myself. I've used real Hubble images of Messier 31 as an overlayed reference.

Used: Adobe Photoshop CS4

Hello,

I like your new paintings very much. The style, the details and also your own comments. Your English is as pretty as a native speakers. I also like the way you express your work and emotion.

Unfortunately the system don t let me add any comments to your artwork.
I don t know whats the reason for. I asked for support but nobody answered my mail until now. I write you this, not to think I will no longer support you.
Always when I am not in a good mood I visit your page and imagine I would be able to visit your planets in real life.

Your sincere Pontiacc

PS the system only let me rate 4 1/2 stars but i would easily like to give you 5.
What do you think?

This reminds me of my attempts at creating galaxies years ago, I think our techniques are a bit alike. Must say this turned out much better though. Very well made, kudos :)

Thanks for the feedback :) This is the piece I've spent most time on, ever. And I had a photography of NASA right next to me so I could copy it off. I basically just brush-lined the photograph. But it was still hard keeping the nice look.
I must say that I've learned a load about brushes and digital painting from this piece.. It gave me insights into how the brushes work, taught me more about filters and settings I've never used before and how the correspondence with the GT-Pen is executed.

Practice makes perfect. That's all the advice that I can give to others. It's ancient and simple advice, yet the only true and most useful one. Keep doing your stuff :)

The atmosphere is very beautiful,
I would like to use this as texture for a graphic design piece I am working on, may I have permission to do this please?
Thank you

Thank you so much (:

By the way: When I tried to model the spaceship, I actually was looking forward to use your hull plate textures for texturizing the model. But as I've already mentioned, the thing was so terrible that I've decided to leave it aside. (It wasn't terrible because of your textures, your textures are great; But it looked terrible because of my amateur modeling abilities xD )

I'm sure if you keep at it, you'll get there - you just have to keep learning with 3d software.... But I'm sure you'll get there soon! :-)

A lot depends on the learning curve of your 3d modelling package... As well as whether it's best for organic or hard surface modelling and so on.

Find some tuts in the general area of what you want to do, you'll be rockin' in no time ;-)

I like the effort here, particularly where the stars gleam the brightest, not an easy thing to do but keep working towards some 3D stuff.

I reconsidered everything and I came to the conclusion that I've told way too much about the story, which I wanted to avoid at first because it is unpublished. I am really sorry for this but I've deleted it for that reason.
