Just one hair-diameter before going on vacation, I made another Space art. I hope you like it.

I've intended to show off a habitable planet and more particularily what a sapient Race could have done to it instead of destroying it.

Some of you may have noticed, that the Moon has 2 rings with 2 different axes. Of course, this is scientifically not possible, as the centrifugal force of any object only has one axis, not two or three or more. Therefore, all the rings of a planet can only be bound to one single layer, the centrifugal axis.
Of course, I've put that purposely there, because the second ring should be an indication for the sapient race to have achieved sufficient technology in order to produce an artificial, second ring, which may be just for aesthetic purposes or for scientific research.
I think it looks pretty neat. :)

Used: Adobe Photoshop CS4, Geogebra (For the City Lights)
I hope you enjoy.

To be honest: looks like both rings are holographic ;-)

I've intended to make them look unnatural on purpose. So yes, they could be holographic indeed.

Normally, I would bite my tongue and abstain from commenting on the second ring. I've given up pointing out that landscapes showing sky-filling moons are impossible and trying to explain about orbits and the Roche limit and such. But as you've pointed out, after acknowledging the science, it's fun to do fantasy. It's like to old adage that first you must learn the rules, then you can break them once in a while.
So the two rings are fantasy, at least according to our present understanding of physics. They look so cool though. Makes you wonder about the incredible power of the alien race that can move moons, create rings, and sculpt planets.

Thank you very much for the long comment. I like it when people write a bit more about their opinions on something.
If I make a planet that has a moon, I always try to put the moon in front of the planet. This way, you cannot really tell if the moon is actually so big or so close to it's host, as it may be any close to the camera.

If my moons are behind the planet they are adequately small, like our real earth moon :)
