The planet displayed here is called "Zaliaxes Zennebiel" (former name: Zekkoranima) which is one from my own fictional story.
This planet is remarkable for many interesting traits. Not only is the surface almost entirely covered in oceans, with only a few islands and micro-continents sprayed over the surface in irregular spacement,
but also, the planet has collided with another planet far back in Zennebiel's early childhood. This event has vortexed extreme amounts of debris into the oribt of the planet, which formed
numerous moons and 3 concentrical rings over the period of gigantic time windows. From the total amount of 24 moons, 2 are habitable. These two habitable moons are displayed in the image. The biggest one is at
the right, is called "Scoredy Zennebiel" and the middle sized one at the center left, is called "Dollyor Zennebiel"

Zennebiel is the homeworld of an intelligent spacefaring species that is very crowny and has refined trading tradition, making their society one that is very fixated on wealth and majesty. For example, Scoredy and Dollyor are both used as extremely luxurious vacation spots for many races throughout the galaxy which grants great income and image.
Due to the technological layback of the species, they are militarily dependant on their stronger allies.
At a certain point in the story, Zennebiel is bombed by the exact allied Species, which it has protected, due to a very complicated political situation. Because the indigenous species has been reliant on their allies, they have absolutely no chances of defending themselves.

Naturally, the battle ended comparably quickly.

It's always nice to see a good piece of space art once in a while since the scene is not as active as it used to be. Your work is well composed with beautiful colors and quality planet textures. The starfield is excellent, too.

I just have a couple of things to point out:

- considering the placement of the sun in your image, the shadows of the rings on the planet don't make sense. Their position should be somewhere in the center of the image.
- the rings look nice, however, as it is actually mass and particles floating around the planet, they could be a little more 'solid'
- I'd reduce the saturation of the two ships going downwards a little. The highly saturated blue doesn't quite fit
- You could have spend a bit more time on the lens flare to match the quality of the rest of the piece. Basically it's just two sharp lines without even a gradient right now. These are some nice references for interesting lens flares for example:

Keep up the good work.
